Who we're looking for

Voicebooth are looking for someone enthusiastic with development technologies to come in and help us push our existing products to an even better standard. You will ideally be motivated with a good understanding of abstract concepts and be able to pick up ideas and fly with them.

We all work remotely, so the ability to be self-organising and focused is a must, but the ideal person will find the flexibility and pace at Voicebooth a great reward.

What experience will impress us

We are primarily a .NET/dotnet core software house, implementing different tools and frameworks as and when they are needed, but the core of what we're looking for is:

• C#


• ASP.NET Core 2.x/3.x or .NET Framework 4.x


• MySQL / SQL Server


• NHibernate


• HTML and CSS


• Javascript / jQuery

Experience in some or all of the below will really catch our attention:

• API design


• Test-driven development


• Understanding in load-balanced application design


• Messaging using RabbitMQ


• CI/CD using Octopus Deploy, TeamCity and other similar tools


• Source Control using Git


• Powershell/bash


• Flutter for iOS/Android


• Experience in Linux/Debian

What sort of things you'll be working on

Telecommunications is our primary business where we offer both VoIP and billing solutions both in the UK and abroad.

Our platforms include a full hosted PBX solution, offering VoIP cloud solutions to the wholesale market, and a rapidly-expanding billing service used by over 160 customers.

The role will involve everything from working on core services, backend APIs, web front-ends right through to design and implementation of new features and services.
